 The Day Things Began to Disappear

Sunday night July 4th 2001

We were having a birthday dinner party for my dad, my whole family came to town to celebrate his 40th. It was a huge blast until after dinner I couldn’t find my drink. I had a Red Bull with Vodka. I was only 17 but since it was a big night for my dad he let me drink.

1 hour later

“Hey Dad, can I let my friends come over because  they want to come and have some fun with us?” I asked him really nicely.

“Sure my darling they can come over and did you find your drink?” he said to me.

“Yea it was in the bathroom and please don’t ask me why it was in there. I think someone might have thought it was their drink or I don’t know,” I said while answering his question.

I go up stairs to call my friends to tell them to come over!

When they all arrive I say “hey guys wanna anything to drink and my dad is over in the carport with his mates and my mom.”

“Oh ok that's good, can I have a Vodka and Coke?” Corey asked.

“I’ll just have a Coke please,” Ava asked. 

“Sure anything for you guys, I’ll go show you where my dad and mom are,” I told them.

 We all go outside to see my parents then we only see my mom and my dads mates but where was my dad? 

Then I went and saw that the car was gone. I go back to where my mom was sitting.

“Mom where's dad and my friends are here they will come out soon,” I asked my mom.

“To be honest darling I don’t know where your dad is. Hey boys you know where John went?” My Mom said as she asked his mates. 

But of course they all replied with no.

Then I suddenly hear a car noise. It was our family car pulling into the driveway, there was a man inside it looked like my dad. I ran over to the car and opened the driver's door and it was my dad, he only went to buy more beers.

“Dad, where were you? I was looking for you because my friends want to say hi,” I told my dad bit by bit.

My friends come outside and say Hi and happy birthday to my dad while he was getting 10 more boxes of beers out of the car.

After all that trouble we all enjoyed our night.

The weird Midnight sky

 Suddenly, darkness enveloped the room, weighted with the pitch blackness of the midnight sky. I was getting scared, it wasn’t even 7:00 o'clock. 

I ran downstairs to my mom's room. She told me not to worry and said to me, “ just go watch a movie in bed”.  

Sometime during the movie, I fell asleep. While I was sleeping I had a bad dream where someone came to my house and robbed it.  All of a sudden I woke up to my mum shaking me, she said “ are you alright my baby I heard you screaming so I came up to see if you're alright! Also was it your movie and what was your dream about?”  

“Ahhhh? I’m ok” I said in a sudden voice, “ Umm my dream was about someone coming into the house and robbing it I got so scared because you know when I came to you it was only pitch black because I had my eyes and curtains closed. By the way, I'm sorry mum.”

“It's ok! You're so funny,” My mum said to me.

After this whole day happened we just went downstairs and played family games

I put my socks, knee pads, pants, and shirt on. I go and see if my mates are here yet, I see one of my mates, we chat and wait for the others to arrive. 

The second race done now this place smells like gas.  

Going out for the last race of the day, oops I go down and eat dirt, I just back up and go for the dub, I managed to get back fast enough where I could win the race, the last lap comes around I try to pass the guy in first so I can get the win.

We exit the track and go to our cars.

That's the end of our day

Mum:

Caring, Loving, Creative, Helpful, Humble, Kind.

My Mum is the most caring person I know. She always makes my family feel good about themselves and she will even make dinner after some long days. She sometimes makes my lunch, but only sometimes because I want to make it most of the days. Another way she is caring is how she always goes out and buys food for our family.

My Mum is so creative and for example, my sister and I have gotten our rooms resigned and she's been googling and helping us figure out ideas for our rooms like different shelves and more things like that. Another great example about my mum being creative is she was making flowers out of records and people were buying them off her

Letter to Clarla

 So Mr. Waller was reading us a story called The Boys In A Girls Bathroom by Louis Sachar, It's about a boy named Bradly who just changes in the story and his best friend is Jeff and he wrote a letter to his counselor because she was leaving to go and teach kindergarten so I predicted the note that he gave to her.

Dear Clara,

It's a pleasure to write to you. I’m sorry that I shouted at you, I just can’t believe that you’re leaving the school. I’m sorry I didn’t come and help you on Sunday. I just went for a haircut and after that, I begged my mom to take me to the school we went to but I was too late. You had already left. I saw the letter that you left on the round table… 😭😢

I miss you so much. I went to Colleen's birthday party, it was so fun I won many of the party games that we played, and guess what they had points. I couldn’t believe I won the whole thing, I got to get a prize but really they were all-girl toys but I got a Harmonica.

After we all got our prizes she open presents

I did what you told me to do. I got her a gift from my heart, do you want to know what I got her? I got her a breakable heart, she loved it. In her card, I wrote Love Bradly by mistake.
